INDIANAPOLIS - We're at our last media timeout before halftime and Michigan is still in control.
Freshman Manny Harris now has 12 points for the Wolverines, who built a 25-11 lead. The Hawkeyes have come back to pull within 27-15 and are shootintg two free throws when action resumes.

Fast start by Michigan
INDIANAPOLIS - The Wolverines built a 10-4 lead during the first six minutes. It's now 10-7 at our first media timeout.
Iowa's Jake Kelly scored the game's first basket nearly two minutes after the opening tipoff. Since then, Michigan is on a 10-5 run. Stay tuned.
Big Ten ready to go
INDIANAPOLIS - It's the first day of the Big Ten tournament in Conseco Fieldhouse.
Iowa and Michigan are warming up and we're about 20 minutes away from tipoff. It's the always interesting 8/9 matchup with the winner facing top-seeded Wisconsin on Friday.
It's a homecoming for Iowa coach Todd Lickliter, who spent six years at Butler, which is based here in Indianapolis. Interesting to note that the Hawkeyes have the second-most tournament wins behind Illinois. They've won the championship twice.
Michigan hasn't experienced the best of seasons under first-year coach John Beilein. The Wolverines are 9-21 and finished 5-13 during the conference regular season.
