Frontline showdown in second game

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Not only does the second game of the State Farm Tip-Off Classic feature two of the top six teams in the nation, it also has one great individual matchup: Maryland's Crystal Langhorne against Oklahoma's Courtney Paris.

The question heading into this game was whether or not Langhorne would even be available for this battle of low-post players. She missed the first game of her career when she sat out the No. 4 Terps' season opener against Princeton (the injury is listed as a mild sprain).

This game will be all about size, between sixth-ranked OU's Paris twins and 6-foot forward Amanda Thompson, and Maryland's Langhorne, 6-4 senior Laura Harper and 6-1 junior Marissa Coleman.

It will also be a showcase of Maryland's veterans, since the Terps have the second-most experienced roster int he nation, with eight players boasting a combined 355 starts.
