Terps up big at halftime

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Even though this game features some higher-ranked teams than the afternoon's first contest here at the Smith Center, it's not quite as competitive at halftime.

While UNC and Arizona State were separated by just a point at the break, Maryland is looking really good in the first half of this game, and the Terps lead Oklahoma 42-24 after 20 minutes of play.

Maryland is holding Oklahoma to 37 percent shooting and has managed to limit Courtney Paris to 1-of-5 shooting thanks to good work inside from Crystal Langhorne and Laura Harper. Both Kristi Tolliver and Marissa Coleman are already in double figures for the Terrapins, while Courtney's twin sister Ashley has 13 to lead the Sooners.

What's probably killing Oklahoma more than anything are its 13 turnovers.
