Heading Home

STORRS, Conn. - We're headed for the home stretch with the Huskies holding a four-point advantage.

Charde Houston has been the story of the second half for Connecticut, with eight points in the half and 10 for the game, the senior has helped her team not only come back from an 11-point deficit, but take a solid lead.

Renee Montgomery as well has been spectacular in the second half, visibly taking over as she realizes her team needs her to step up.

North Carolina, on the other hand, has looked shaky in the second frame. They aren't playing with the same intensity and they are getting lost and duped into taking tough shots.

They were getting the ball inside much more often in the first half and will have to go back to that strategy in order to free up their long-range shooters.

This game certainly hasn't been given to Connecticut, as coach Sylvia Hatchell has some aces still left up her sleeve.
