Maryland, Carolina in ACC showdown

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - After traveling to Connecticut to take on the nation's No. 1 team, North Carolina gets a break, right? Nope. The No. 3/4 Tar Heels merely get another top-five matchup, hosting No. 4/3 Maryland at Carmichael Auditorium.

Neither of these squads has lost in conference play, though the teams' combined three losses (two of which are UNC's) have come against top-five competition. The Terps don't have head coach Brenda Frese with them, who is pregnant and only coaching home games at the moment, but this should still be quite a showdown.

The Terps are looking to extend their 12-game winning streak, while the Tar Heels are hoping some home cooking will help them bounce back from the loss to UConn.
