UConn Is Still The One

STORRS, Conn. - It's all over here in Storrs and Connecticut did the job. They came all the way back from an 11-point halftime deficit to stun the No. 3 Tar Heels, 82-71.

Junior guard Renee Montgomery looked like the star in the stat sheet, and deservedly so, scoring 26 points and hitting six huge threes, but the real star tonight for Connecticut was Charde Houston.

Houston may have only scored 15 points, but 13 of them came in the decisive second half when Connecticut made the run that would ultimately win them the game.

The emergence of Houston has got to make coach Geno Auriemma happy, as he's been waiting all season for Houston to break out of her funk.

More to come with postgame quotes in a short time...

No. 1 stays No. 1 for now...
