Anosike hurt as LSU closes gap at the half

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.- LSU was once down 21-2 in the first half, but came storming back to cut the Tennessee lead to 33-30.

At one point the Tigers even led 30-29 when center Sylvia Fowles scored off a miss inside. RaShonta LeBlanc leads LSU with seven points.

Candace Parker did the majority of the scoring for the Lady Vols totaling 17 points early on. She was the only consistant weapon in the first half as she finishe 6-of-11 from the field.

Tennessee could be without center Nicky Anosike who caught an elbow in the nose from Fowles and had to go to the locker room with a minute to go in the half. Her status for the rest of the game is uncertain.
