Battle for first in SEC standings

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.- First place in the SEC standings is on the line tonight as No. 1 Tennessee and No. 7 LSU square off in Thompson-Boling Arena. Both teams are undefeated in league play this season.

The Lady Vols are coming off a controversial last second win over Rutgers Monday night. The clock seemed to freeze with two-tenths of a second remaining when Tennessee's NIcky Anosike had the ball. Rutger's Kia Vaughn fouled Anosike who calmly went to the line and sank both free-throws giving the Lady Vols a 59-58 win.

LSU knocked off No. 1 seed Tennessee in last year's SEC Tournament in Atlanta. In that game Candace Parker was held to a career low four points as the Lady Vols struggled to score.

Players to watch for: Tennessee's Candace Parker, LSU's Sylvia Fowles. The two will battle it out down low all night. The 6-6 Fowles has been a challenge for Parker in the past and could do so again tonight.

Tip off is moments away.
