Eagles Roll

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Today's romp over Rhody, 86-68, should serve as a good springboard for BC as it enters a meaty portion of it schedule. After Wednesday night's showdown with Michigan State (7 p.m., ESPN and live-blogged here at CSTV.com), the Eagles visit rising UMass next Saturday, then face Fairfield at home on Dec. 6 (a homecoming for former Skinner assistant, Ed Cooley), Maryland at home on the 10th, Sacred Heart on the 17th and then at Kansas on CBS, Saturday the 23rd.

That slate includes four games that, if won, will put BC right back in the Top 25, likely even in the Top 15, prior to the heart of the ACC schedule.

. . . Rhody's Jimmy Baron had a nice second half, turning his five first half ponts into 12 for the game.

. . . We'll be back with another of the Hang Time columnettes following the press conferences and locker room access periods. Then, be sure to check back here on Tuesday night when we travel to Kingston for these same Rhody Rams versus Jeff Ruland's winless Iona club. The Gaels are hungry for a win and Rhody will look to avoid dipping below .500.

. . . BC's freshman guard, Daye Kaba was inserted with a minute left in the game, marking his second appearance of the season for BC. Freshman Tyler Roche saw his third game of action as a late insert. Senior walk-on Tyler Neville, a crowd favorite, also got a few seconds of run.
