Huskies Pull Away

By David Scott - November 19, 2006

HARTFORD - Ole Miss’s strategy continues to be to avoid the lane and work everything they can on the outside. That presents a few inherent problems, chiefly that offensive rebounding is non-existent.

The Rebels have started to pick and choose its spots to attack the hoop, and with some success, but Uconn has found its stride and built up a 13 point lead with 2 minutes left in the first half.

. . .As big as Thabeet is, sophomore Jeff Adrien is perhaps the most aggressive Husky on the boards.

. . .The UConn Husky mascot is having some head issues, as its neck isn’t tucked in very well, revealing what could be (GASP!) a human underneath. We don’t have the heart to tell the pooch - it may bite.

. . . The suit (and/or sport jacket/tie) count on the Husky bench is at ten. Quite impressive.

. . .Tonight’s officials are Jim Burr, Ed Corbett and Glenn Mayborg.
