Tight One at The Dunk

PROVIDENCE - The Friars are clearly looking to take it to he paint against BC, no matter what line-up Al Skinner sends out.

Sean Williams of BC has made his presence felt in his debut for the season, with at least three blocks in the first ten minutes of the game.

PC maintains a slim lead, 20-18, at the under-8:00 timeout.

. . . Six-foot-10, 240-pound senior Herbert Hill (Kinston, NC) for PC is a space-eater for sure. He’s been dominant inside early, backing down freshman Samari Spears (6-foot-6, 245).

. . . In-house emcee, John Dolan’s signature phrase is “Strike up the band!” We like it.

. . . PC legend and Foxwoods official greeter, Ernie DiGregoro is in the house, per usual.

. . . Lots of “Gucci Row” type seating in The Dunk, a recent trend in college hoops that usually angers the media types to no avail (since we get bumped to the end zones form the sideline seating). I don’t have that much of a problem with it - there’s nothing like under-the-hoop action, especially on board battles. And the sideline reporter COX is seated next to me and she’s an Erin Andrews in training (and a PC grad to boot).
