Dyson Slicin' and Dicin' to Start Second Half

By David Scott - December 20, 2006

HARTFORD - UConn is playing with a bit more focus through 4:07 of the second half and, as tonight’s special “Hang Time” analyst Seth Davis has pointed out, the Huskies appear to be trying to get Jerome Dyson more involved.

UConn now leads 46-38, after a 6-2 spurt to start the half.

Dyson had four points in the first half and already has four in four minutes of the second half. He did, however pick up his third foul of the game with 15:18 left.

. . . Cirque De Soleil gave us our halftime entertainment and, at times, it seems as though they have also given us the Pepperdine offense. The Waves do not turn down ANY 3-point chance, often foregoing the closer-in shots for the deep ball. It makes for some haphazard action, but if they were ever to get in rhythm, collectively, they could run UConn out of the gym.

. . . FYI - Seth Davis also supplied the headline for this particular entry. Talk about teamwork - almost brings a tear to my eye.
