Lincoln Pours In 201 Points In Record-Breaking Performance

By Bryan Graham - December 02, 2006

Lincoln University, a Division III school on the outskirts of Philadelphia, has earned a reputation for its high-octane offense under third-year coach Garfield Yuille.

But while the Lions (5-1) have ranked among Division III leaders in team scoring in each of Yuille's two seasons at the helm, no one could have predicted the kind of offensive outburst the Chester County school would engineer Saturday at the Salem International Tournament in Salem, W.Va.

Lincoln throttled Ohio State-Marion, 201-78, establishing a Division III record for points in a game and points in a half, with 104 over the final 20 minutes.

Senior guard and Philadelphia Public League product Sami Wylie (Profile) established a D-III record with 21 three-pointers and finished with a program-record 69 points, leading six Lions in double figures.

As a team the Lions converted 79-of-141 (56.0 percent) of their attempts from the floor.
