Rams Build Lead to Eight
By David Scott - December 09, 2006
KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhody got out on a 7-2 run to start the second half, forcing Ray Giacoletti to call a timeout with 17:11 left in the game. It was reminiscent of the first half run by the Rams that had the same effect.
The first possession after the timeout resulted in a Luke Nevill dunk. But the next tow Rhody trips resulted in 3-pointers from Parfait Bitee and Jimmy Baron. Rhody now leads 51-43 with 13:25 left in the game.
. . . Utah’s Shaun Green has nine points, eight of which have come in the second half. The Utes are 2 of 3 from 3-point land in the second stanza. Green and Nevill have accounted for all the Utes' second-half points.
. . . It would appear that Utah’s Luka Drca is done for the afternoon after suffering a first-half shoulder injury.
. . . Keith Cothran started the second half for Jim Baron as Will Daniels began the half on the bench.
