UMass Pulls Ahead

By David Scott - December 06, 2006

BOSTON - UMass has pulled away from BU as the second half has unfolded and with under 12 minutes left in the game, the Minutemen now lead 44-32, its largest bulge of the evening.

. . . James Life picked up his fourth foul for UMass with 12:13 left in the game. He joins Bonner as a four foul man. The game has seen 38 fouls called through 28 minutes of play.

. . .UMass’s Etienne Brower, a BU transfer has not seen any game action tonight - probably still nursing the ankle injury that had sidelined him up until the BC game on Saturday.

. . . Awkward is one word to describe the running and general play of Minuteman Luke Bonner. Gangly would be another.

. . . Lasme and Freeman have combined for 27 of UMass’s 42 points - 16 on 6-of-9 shooting for Freeman and Lasme is 4-of-5 from the field.

. . . At the under-12 media timeout, BU was shooting 30 percent from the field. UMass, for the game, is at 54 percent.
