BC Battles Back

By David Scott - February 14, 2007

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – BC has made things interesting, highlighted by a deep corner 3-pointer by Sean Marshall to cut the Duke lead to 65-53 with 8:05 left in the game. Now, with 7:32 left in the game, Al Skinner is loudly complaining about a foul call on Tyrese Rice after a solid 30 seconds of defense on Greg Paulus. However, Duke has been whistled for five more foul calls in the second half than BC (8-3).

Conte is jumping a bit now and those handful of fans who did leave, are probably starting to regret it a bit.

Jared Dudley has turned it up in the second half and now has 11 for the game (all but two in the second half). Sean Marshall has 13 points now (after five int he first half).

. . . David McClure has four fouls for the Blue Devils.

. . . Russert is starting to feel a bit of a comeback and he’s getting back into the game. His travel call is legendary with its exaggerated rolling of the arms. With an out-of-bounds throw in near his seat, he urged along Jared Dudley with words of encouragement. ESPN should just keep a camera on him - Meet the Press-cam would be priceless. He looks like he’s just played 30 minutes of ball.
