Eagles Come out Quick

By David Scott - February 03, 2007

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – BC got out to a 10-1 lead, powered by two 3-pointers from Tyrese Rice. Seth Greenberg was forced to call an early timeout with 17:37 left in the first half to stem the tide.

It’s now 10-5 at the first media timeout with 15:55 left in the half.

. . . Both teams have opened in man-to-man defenses, with BC switching to a 2-3 after the first timeout. Va. Tech’s Gordon drew the assignment of Sean Marshall.

. . . Va. Tech starts a freshman, a junior and three seniors - a nice luxury to have in ACC play.

. . . At the tip, Conte Forum was bout 80 percent filled. Always sort of sad that the place can’t be filled at tip.

. . . Geographically speaking, BC’s Tyrese Rice hails from Virginia (Richmond) and Hokie Cheick Diakite played at Bridgton Academy in Maine.
