Good Start at Conte

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – BC's John Oates, who averages a little over four feild goal attempts per game has taken four shots in the game's firt 4:02, as BC leads 7-5 at the first media timeout.

Oates started his night with a shooter’s mentality, missing his first attempt form top of the key, then hitting a 3-pointer and then being fouled on a 3-point attempt. He had five of the Eagles first seven points (Sean Marshall had the other field goal).

. . . Duke has opened in a man-to-man defense with DeMarcus Nelson opening up on BC’s Jared Dudley. They are also picking up their men full-court. The Eagles are in a 2-3 zone

. . . We’ve been told to keep an eye on Russert as he is known to be an over-exuberant fan to some degree. We will try and stay tuned to how he meets the (full-court) press. (Sorry, we’re suckers for easy lines like that.)

. . . The sneaker war tonight is being waged between Nike (Duke) and Reebok (BC).
