Hokies Steadying the Ship

By David Scott - February 03, 2007

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Virginia Tech came out of the locker room with a more intense attitude and better full-court defensive pressure. They still trail 51-35, but are looking more like the team that came in having won three of its last four ACC games. They have outscored BC, 9-4 in the first 4:36 of the second half.

Deron Washington especially appears to be more assertive for the Hokies. He’s had five early points in the half, after scoring just two in the first stanza.

. . . Zabian Dowdell has not been able to yet get on track for Va. Tech and has 11 points with 15:24 left in the game.
