Huskies Hang On for Huge Win

STORRS, Conn. - After some costly late turnovers on the part of Syracuse, UConn converted its late free throws to hang on for a much-needed 67-60 win. It is Jim Calhoun's 500th win at UConn.

The Huskies received balanced scoring with five players in double digits scoring, led by Austrie's 14. Syracuse was led by Nichols' 20 points.

. . . The Huskies attempted 37 free throws (making 19) compared to 14 (hitting 12) for Syracuse. UConn scored 22 second chance points to just five for the Orange.
