Minutemen Continue to Dominate

AMHERST, Mass. - The Minutemen continue to dominate, especially in the paint where the team scored all of its first ten points.

At the under-12:00 media timeout, UMass leads 16-4. The Rams continue to sturggle in finding a rhythm, while the Minutemen have been able to work their offense and find open players. Stephane Lasme has six points in the early going for the Minutemen and Gary Forbes has added four.

. . . Rhody started out 0 for 5 from the field, with UMass going 5 for 10 in the early going.

. . . No home cooking here - the Minutemen have been whistled for six team fouls, to just one for the Rams.

. . . The Voice of the Mullins Center, George Miller, doesn't miss an opportunity to have his voice heard. At times, we tend to think Miller still thinks he's the radio voice of the Minutemen, a position he hasn't held in better than a decade.

. . . Tonight's officials are John Cahill, Mike Kitts and Bryan Kersey.
