Tight One Early

By David Scott - February 17, 2007

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – BC’s John Oates has started out on fire again - similar to his torrid start against Duke when he had five points early on. Tonight he has seven of the Eagles’ first 10 points on a put-back in the lane, a 3-pointer and a jumper.

At the first media timeout, the game is tied 10-10 with 15:47 left in the half.

UNC clearly likes the TylerHansborough Shamari Spears match-up, having gone to it twice already in the early going. Hansborough now has six points.

. . . Good sign for BC is Dudley was able to draw a foul early - on a 3-pointer no less. He is the master of drawing contact on 3-point shots.

. . . Both teams have started in man-to-man defenses.

. . . Fellow CSTV.commer, Phil Kasiecki who is sitting next to the Hang Time perch tonight, is attending men’s Div. 1 game No. 72 for the intrepid Kasiecki. That’s impressive, if you can’t do the math on your own
