Tar Heels Build Lead

By David Scott - February 17, 2007

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Tar Heels are using their size and depth to their advantage as they have stormed out to a 19-14 lead with 11:14 left in the half.

North Carolina is absolutely crashing the boards, especially on the offensive end.

. . . After the first media timeout, Al Skinner placed Jared Dudley on Tyler Hansborough in place of the freshman Shamari Spears. Hansborough leads all scorers with eight points.

. . . Photographer extraordinaire Bruce Schwartzman is shooting the game tonight.

. . . Doug Flutie took a half court shot for ESPN’s cameras this afternoon with $17,000 on the line for a BC student. He bricked it off the backboard for a big mess. Insert your own Hail Mary joke, here.
