Tar Heels in Good Shape

By David Scott - February 17, 2007

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – North Carolina continues to dominate after made BC hoops, as they SPRINT out in what has to be the nation’s best fast break. With 3:38 left, the Tar Heels lead 73-66 and it's hard to imagine BC coming all the way back in this one.

. . . BC repeatedly has seen their possession come down to the final seconds of the shot clock and the rushed shots have resulted in some key misses.

. . . Trailing 70-66 with just under 4:00 left, Dudley stole a ball under his own basket and found a wide-open Rice at the top of the key. Rice’s shot rimmed out and Reyshawn Terry (10 points, all in the second half) answered at the other end with a 3-pointer for the seven point lead.

UNC has at least four players in double-figures scoring.

. . . More than a smattering of Carolina blue throughout the crowd, again proving the national appeal of the Tar Heel program.

. . . BC's next game is on the 21st at home against NC State while BC is at Virginia Tech that same Wednesday night.

. . . We’ll hit you with a post-game columnette after locker room and press conference access is complete.
