Tight One at Conte

By David Scott - February 17, 2007

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Jared Dudley picked up his third personal foul of the game with 6:00 left in the half and again will miss key portions of the game because of foul trouble, just like on Wedneday vs. Duke.

We remind you again that this is two-thirds of the ref crew that worked the Duke game where Dudley late complained about the officiating.

At the under-4:00 media timeout, we are tied in a doozy, 33-33.

. . . Al Skinner picked up a rare technical with 4:48 left in the half and UNC leading 32-31. Skinner too was frustrated with the officiating on Wednesday night and he may have just reached his boiling point - which is saying something.

For the record the BC has been called for seven fouls thus far and UNC has been called for seven, also.

. . . As he did against Duke, BC’s Tyrese Rice has kept BC in the game, he has 12 points, one more than UNC’s leader, Hansborough.

. . . Wild sequence in the half started with 7:00 minutes left when Jared Dudley hit a 3-pointer in transition to give the Eagles a 26-25 lead. Lawson answered with a 3 of his own on the next possession for the 28-26 lead, to which Tyrese Rice responded with a 3 of his own to put BC back ahead.
