A-10: No Good!

By Matthew Shapiro - March 07, 2007

ATLANTIC CITY - After Ian Vouyoukas missed the front-end of the one and one, the Dukes had one more shot with 4 seconds left. Gary Tucker came down the court and, after bobbling the ball because of a good defensive play from Kevin Lisch, missed the potential game winner. 78-77, St. Louis.

The difference in this game could be found at the charity stripe, where Duquesne shot a pitiful 11-23. While St. Louis only made 11 free throws as well, they only visited the stripe 16 times. Because the Dukes didn't convert without getting fouled, and got 23 foul shots, they had to put more than 11 down if they wanted to win.

Also worth note are St. Louis' shooting percentages in the second half. They were 17-24 on field goals and 3-5 from behind the arc.
