A-10: Take Two

By Matthew Shapiro - March 09, 2007

ATLANTIC CITY - What an atmosphere here. URI just beat No. 1 seed Xavier, 79-71, and the crowd loves it. With Xavier's loss and their likely at-large bid, this conference will now get two teams to the Dance. While ESPN is probably dreading the possibility of a URI-St. Louis matchup in the finals tomorrow night, the conference should be thrilled with this outcome, as they will have quite a bit of national media coverage.

Now that that contest is in the books, there is one more team that needs to lock up its spot in the finals, as St. Louis and GW tip-off in 21 minutes and counting. Stay tuned for something very creepy in my next post. I know that sounds weird, but just trust your Atlantic City slogger.
