ACC: Best Foot Forward

By - March 08, 2007

As February turns to March, college seniors around America are coming to terms with their approaching entry to the real world -- the inexorable and unnerving reality of life after beer bongs and date parties. One regular stage of the process involves the assembly of the resume, which is one of the more overt tactics Clemson has adopted in their push for NCAA tournament inclusion.

The South Carolina school's athletic department has been distributing copies of its basketball team's resume on high-quality orange stock resembling the resume paper that soon-to-be college grads have been buying at the local Staples. The three-column, single-sheet opus outlines the team's credentials -- from its respectable RPI (No. 36) to its six Top 50 wins to its road exploits to details involving its strength of schedule. In fact, I located a copy of the resume on Clemson's athletic site -- though you're going to have to supply your own fancy resume paper to get the full effect.
