ACC: Three Halftime Numbers

By - March 08, 2007

Sixth-seeded Georgia Tech holds a 37-33 edge over No. 11-seeded Wake Forest. Three numbers that jump out from the first-half box:

  • The good: Shooting percentages. For both teams. The Demon Deacons connected on 13-of-23 (56.5 percent) of their shots from the floor while the Yellow Jackets made 15-of-26 (57.7 percent) of their attempts.

  • The bad: Wake committed 17 turnovers. Tech wasn't far behind (12).

  • The ugly: Each team made mincemeat its opponents interior defense as indicated by the numbers for points in the paint: Wake scored 20 of 33 inside while Tech scored 26 of 37.
