Big XII: A&M Carries Narrow Lead to Half

By Jean Neuberger - March 09, 2007

We've found ourselves in quite the dogfight, as A&M leads Oklahoma State 28-24 at the half. The Aggies have been paced by Jones and Carter, while the Pokes offense has been balanced amongst a bunch of players. Terrell Harris leads OSU though with seven points.

OSU has to be thrilled right now. They're in this game, they've shut down Law offensively, and they've set the tempo of the game to their liking. This is a game that's very winnable for the Cowboys; now it's the question of taking advantage of the opportunity that's been presented them.

As for A&M, they've got to find new ways to get the ball in Acie Law's hands. Granted, Jones and Carter have been sensational, but Law is the heart and soul of that team, and if this is a close game late, you're going to want Law controlling things for your basketball team. I'd keep letting Jones and Carter fire away though...if you've got a hot hand, you don't want to lose it.

Right now, the pom squads from both schools are taking the court. A&M's was pretty good, but OSU is the clear cut winner today though, dancing to "Paint It Black", and getting the crowd to clap along with them. Similar to the women's tournament, we'll have a band and spirit sqaud of the night in tonight's wrap-up.
