Buffalo: Poor Shooting Hurting VCU

By David Scott - March 17, 2007

VCU was only able to muster a 31 percent shooting percentage for the half (9 of 29 from the field and 2 of 9 from 3-point land). The Panthers shot 55 percent from the field (3 of 8 from 3-point land) and had some great balance up and down the roster with a team-high 9 points from Antonio Graves, eight from Mike Cook, seven from Aaron Gray (in just 12 minutes of play), six from Sam Young and five from Ronald Ramon.

VCU was led by Jamal Shuler's 10 points.

. . . Pitt won the battle of the boards 20-15 and have four blocks on the game (two by Young). VCu has trailed the entire half after four ties early on. Pitt's largest lead is the cushion they now enjoy.

. . . Back to brew some more iced tea. Catch you in a few.
