Buffalo: VCU Staying In It

By David Scott - March 15, 2007

VCU briefly led 44-43 in the first two minutes of the second half and now trails by just two, 52-50 with 15:00 left in the game.

VCU has already put up 14 second half shots, nearly half their first half total (31). They've hit on 6 while Duke is 5 of 10 from the field.

. . . Once again we are the only on-going game where the action is competitive, a recurring theme throughout today's match-ups.

. . . I must amend my too-early declaration that Duke's cheer squad was going to win this one in a walk-over. VCU has unleashed its black-spandexed dance/pom team and they are simply spectacular. We should have recalled this form our time at the CAA Tourney in Richmond and we apologize completely.

I now have flip-flopped and given the nod to the Ramettes, or whatever they're called.
