CAA: Back and Forth We Go

By David Scott - March 04, 2007

RICHMOND - Frank Elegar has six early points for the Dragons and at least two of the buckets have come on MONSTER jams. At the under 8:00 media timeout, VCU 18-17 in an absolutely wild contest of back-and-forth.

The VCU full-court press is almost entirely negated by the steady ballhandling of the Drexel backcourt and the result is Drexel being able to establish some good half-court offense.

. . . The fans (especially the lunatic behind our perch) are ALL over referee Duke Edsall.

. . . We've been fortunate enough to be seated next a Northeastern professor, Alan Jay Zaremba, who is working on a college hoops-themed book called, "Bonding and Betting with the Boys: March Madness in Las Vegas," to be published by the Univeristy of Nebraska Press with a late 2008 publish date. Zaremba was at the America East Tournament yesterday and is here for today and Monday night. Someone needs to give this dude a blog.
