CAA: Dragons Dominant in First Half

By David Scott - March 03, 2007

RICHMOND - Still experiencing some technical issues, but we're working through them. The same can not be said for Northeastern, which trails 35-18 at the break. Dominick Mejia of Drexel stole a late in-bounds pass as time expired in the first stanza and buried a deep three to put what could be the dagger into the Huskies.

Frank Elegar led the Dragons with 15 points in 16 minutes of play and Manny Adako paced the Huskies with nine points. NU shot a dismal 28 percent from the field, inclusind 1 of 8 form 3-point land. Drexel turned eight NU turnovers into 13 points and also had 13 second chance points to just four for NU.

. . . The referees for today's game are Bernard Clinton, Brian Dersey and Tim Kelly. The whistled just 12 total fould in the first half, six for each team.
