CAA: Feeling Patriotic

By David Scott - March 04, 2007

RICHMOND - Mason Nation has pretty much enveloped the Coliseum - except of course for the corner of ODU fans. That will change tomorrow night when a pro-VCU crowd witnesses the title tilt. But for now, a good portion of the remaining fans joined in on another stirring rendition of "Living on Prayer" as performed by the Mason pep band and its leader Pimp Daddy Mason.

ODU had trimmed the Mason lead to 14 but a loose ball under the basket wound up in the hands of Will Thomas who put it in for a hoop and the harm, bringing Mason back to the 16 point bulge (he missed the free throw).

Mason now leads 54-40 with 7:25 left and there is some reason for hope for the ODU faithful, but Mason is still very much in control.

Mason is showing good composure against some aggressive full court pressre and making smart decisions on the offensive end.
