CAA: Night Session Revving Up

By David Scott - March 03, 2007

RICHMOND - We're about 10 minutes from tip between No. 2 seed ODU and No. 7 seed ODU and the Coliseum is beginning to get filled in again. Crowds should be strong tonight as three of the four teams (ODU, George Mason and Hofstra) have strong road support. Not so much for Towson, we're guessing, but their cheer team sure is spunky!

. . . The Monarchs have beaten Towson 16 of 17 previous times including a 79-65 win earlier this season.

. . . Sophomore guard Tim Crossin is questionable for the Tigers after suffering a hip pointer in Towson's 67-52 win over UNC Wilmington on Friday night. Crossin has been averaging about 17 minutes a game for Pat Kennedy.

. . . Towson is 15-16 on the year and the win total is the most for the Tigers since 1995-96 when they went 16-12. ODU is 23-7 and a sexy pick for an at-large bid if they can't win the tourney.

. . . We skipped a proper meal in favor of some carrott cake with frosting. Mmmmmmm carrott cake.
