MVC: Indiana St comes back to win

By Jerry Palm - March 01, 2007

Illinois St had this game all but won with an 11 point lead, but then they called timeout. After that point, two things happened, the Redbirds went cold from the floor, hitting only one of their last 10 shots, and they stopped defending the three point line, allowing way too many good looks to the Sycamores. Indiana St hit their shots, and came back to win 68-65.

The Sycamores advance to face Creighton tomorrow.

Notes:
Indiana St had lost 13 of its last 14 entering tonight's game.

With the loss, Illinois St fails to finish above .500. The Redbirds dropped to 15-16.

After hitting 5-6 in the first half, Eldridge only hit 1 for 7 in the second. He still finished with a team high 18

Jay Tunnell's 16 led a balanced attack for Indiana St. Three other players finished in double figures.
