SEC: Big Time Players Making Big Plays

By David Scott - March 08, 2007

Chris Lofton hit a deep 3 from right in front of his own bench with 4:36 left in the game to give Tennessee a 57-52 lead. It was Lofton's third trey of the night and his 18th points on 7 of 11 from the field.

On the ensuing trip, Garrett Temple launched a depseration 3-pointer as the shot clock ran down. The ball went haflway down and popped out into the hands of Glen Davis, who put it back and was fouled on the hoop. The free throw by Big Baby cut the Vol lead to 57-55, which is where we stand now with 3:32 left.

. . .The Vol pressure which was having minimal effect in the first half has picked up in intensity this half and is causing troubles for the Tigers. Tennesse has 11 steals on the night to just three for LSU.
