SEC: Bruce Pearl Knows a Good Knish When He Sees It

By David Scott - March 08, 2007

Tennessee has jumped out early with a 7-0 run to start the game, bouyed by five points from Chris Lofton. At the first media timeout, the Vols lead 7-2 with 15:24 left in the half.

LSU is 1 of 5 from the field to start and Tennessee is 3 of 7 (including 1 of 4 from 3-point land). The Tigers have four turnovers in just over four minutes of play which we average out to 40 TOs for the game if our math is correct.

. . . We can't let Jerry Palm's knish entry from the Big East go without comment and we want to commend the Palmist for trying new things. Next up: a meat knish, which will be easy to scope out in NYC. After that, Lox and smoked whitefish. To bring this back to basketball, Bruce Pearl actually hails from a place that has its share of great knish and lox places - Sharon, Mass. If Palm ever ventures to Boston, we'll be sure to direct to him (or even take him) to Cobb's Corner and The Butcherie.

Wow, could I go for a knish and a kreplach right now.
