SEC: Cats Heat up With 3-Ball

By David Scott - March 08, 2007

Kentucky finished off the half the way Alabama started and began stroking the 3-ball in the process. At the half, it's Kentucky up 35-27on the strength of five 3-pointers (two each from Ramel Bradley and Jodie Meeks).

Both teams turned around their shooting woes from early on as 'Bama finished 10 of 22 form the field and Kentucky went 14 of 30.

Alonzo Gee leads the Tide with nine points and Randolph Morris has nine for Kentucky.

. . . Alabama got sloppy with the ball in the late going and finished with eight turnovers for the half to just three for the Wildcats. Kentucky turned those eight turns into 10 points.

. . . Kenny "Sky" Walker of Kentucky is being recognized at halftime as part of the SEC's tourney-long program to hononr past players. He took the court with the Chick-fil-a cow for some reason.

. . . Gotta watch the Alabama Crimson Cabaraet dancers and then the 'Cat dancers. It's all part of the job, folks.
