SEC: Gators By Three Early

By David Scott - March 11, 2007

Florida has gotten off to another solid start, although no where near the starts they've had the past two games. With 15:35 left in the half, the Gators lead 9-6.

Charles Thomas went down hard and limped off, favoring his left leg within the first minute and a half. He was replaced by Michael Washington, who has all six of the Arkansas points. Thomas went to the end of the Hogs' bench to be tended to and appeared to be having his left ankle taped. He has yet to return to the game.

Al Horford had three of the first four buckets of the day for the Gators. Taurean Green's 3-pointer from the deep corner was the other Gator score.

. . . Joakim Noah missed his first shot of the day on a leaner in the lane, he grabbed the first rebound for the Gators on a miss by Patrick Beverley.

. . . Five fans behind the Arkansas bench held up signs that read: WIN IT FOR STAN HEATH, during and after pre-game introductions.
