SEC: Gators Roll

By David Scott - March 10, 2007

This one's over and the title game on Sunday at 1 p.m. will, indeed be a rematch of the SEC football title game (in the same building) that was won by Florida. Your final score from the Dome is 80-59.

Joakim Noah (12 rebounds) and Al Horford (13 rebounds) accounted for well more than half of the team's total (41) and Corey Brewer had 22 points for the Gators. Ole Miss was led by Clarence Sanders' 21 points and Kenny Williams' 12 rebounds.

Ole Miss shot 32 percent for the game (21 of 66, 4 of 16 from 3-point land) and the Gators shot 48 percent (28 of 58) including 10 of 24 from 3-point land.

. . . Growing sentiment here in the Dome that Arkansas is in regardless of what they do against Florida on Sunday. We'd tend to agree and we'd hope that will save Stan Heath's job, if indeed, tyhe rumors of his demise are true.

. . . Attendance today for the two games was announced at 17,114.

. . . That'll do it from here for today. Enjoy the rest of the day's live-blogging and get back with us tomorrow in the noon-hour (after you Spring Ahead, of course).

Hogs deserve to be in after all the turmoil and the way they have played the last 5 game SOS #11 RPI is number 37. They deserve to be in more than Kentucky, Tenn. or espeically Vandy.
