SEC: Georgia With Florida on Their Mind

By David Scott - March 08, 2007

The Bulldogs continue to pour it on and have extended their 10 point half-time lead into a 15-point bulge, 51-36, with 15:37 to go in the game. They appear to be headed to the Friday games for a date with Florida at at 7:30 p.m. (EST).

Takais Brown, who had six points in the first half, already has six in this half for Georgia.

. . . A halftime wander allowed us to catch up with Ole Miss assistant coach Mike White, whose No. 2 (west) -seed Rebels will get the winner of tonight's late game between LSU and Tennessee. When we last saw White and the Rebs they were in Hartford early in the season to play the then -undefeated UConn Huskies (think about that for a sec). At that time, White wasn't sure what to make of his club. Now, three months later he can't stop praising first-year coach Andy Kennedy and the way he has shaped his team into a competitive, tough unit that no one wants to face. "He's unbelievable, he's just done such a great job," said White.

We were also able to exchange pleasantries with the orange-suspendered Bruce Pearl who is sitting in Row 3 of Press Row taking in the Georgia-Auburn game.

Say this about Pearl - he's made orange sport coats quite fashionable as several of the Vol fans in the far endzone seats are wearing the Pearl Orange sports coat.
