SEC: Rebs in Control at the Break

By David Scott - March 09, 2007

It could very well be the after effects of their OT win over Tennessee last night, but the LSU Tigers are as flat as flat can be. They've shot 4 of 29 in the first half from the field (14 percent) and Ole Miss's Bam Doyne has just about taken over the game with 16 first half points, including 3 of 4 from 3-point land.

The Rebels lead 37-17 at the break and we have now had two straight games where it appears one team has eliminated itself from competing due to awful inefficiency from the field. (In the first game, Georgia was 7 of 37 in the first half for 19 percent). The Tigers are 1 of 13 from 3-point land and have been out-rebounded 23-17.

Tasmin Mitchell leads LSU with 6 points.
