SEC: State Holds On

By David Scott - March 09, 2007

State hangs on and very likely punches a ticket to the Big Dance with a tremendous 84-82 overtime win.

Kentucky's final possession was a disater as the inbounds pass was tipped and State covered the ball for the win.

. . . A lane violation ended Kentucky's SEC Tourney run, that's the bottom line.

. . . Okay, we said it, Mississippi State is a tournament team. I now believe. And Jamont Gordon (26 points, 11 rebounds and four assists) is a legit top-level player.

. . . The game has gone over two and a half hours and had 50 total fouls called.
