SEC: Tide Fights Back

By David Scott - March 08, 2007

Alabama manged to score three points on three of its first four possessions of the half to climb back into this one and trim the Kentucky lead to three. But the Cats continue to answer and maintain a 44-36 with 16:54 left int he half.

. . . Alabama came out on fire from 3-point land with two straight to open the second half (Mykal Riley and Brandon Hollinger). Those two hoops cut the Cat lead to 37-33.

. . .It's quite clearly a Kentucky crowd with just low murmurs when 'Bama manages to make a run.

. . . The Mississippi State team is sitting in the endzone section behind the 'Bama band. They have the day off aqnd play the winner of this one tomorrow at 1 p.m. Coach Rick Stansbury and his staff are scouting the game from scouting seats along press row.
