SEC: Underway With Cats-'Bama

By David Scott - March 08, 2007

Ugly start to this one as the teams have combined to go 2 of 13 from the field (1 of 8 for Kentucky). At the first media timeout, 'Bama is up 3-2.

. . . Atlanta native Randolph Morris, appropriately enough, scored the first bucket of the 2007 SEC Tourney for Kentucky. He laso committed the first foul on Alonzo Gee. Alabama's Jermareo Davisdon is also from Atlanta.

. . . Great potential match-up betwene the beefy boys Richard Hendrix (6-8, 265) of 'Bama and Randolph Morris (6-11, 259) of Kentucky.

. . . Two very strong dance and cheer teams to start off the action today, but the early lead goes to the Kentucky side. Call it the Ashley Judd factor (even though she's probably not here, the thought of her enhances the 'Cat Dancers).

. . . Good crowd for the 1 p.m. tip and it's a predominantly blue and white one.
