Winston-Salem: Reunited At Last!

By Matt Meyers - March 15, 2007

When I was about 15-years-old, I went to the orthodontist to get some work done on my braces. Though I lived in New York, my orthodontist was in New Jersey and this was in the mid-1990s, when the Knicks were a big deal.

There were two chairs in the main room and I sat in one as my orthodontist worked on a kid a few years younger than me in the other chair. When she was done with the other boy, she came over to me with an excited look on her face and said, "that's Patrick Ewing Jr.!" She knew I was a big sports fan so she knew I would think it was cool, but she was definitely a little too excited. Patrick and I chatted for a few minutes and he was a really nice kid as I recall.

He got two quick fouls in the first half of this game, and he has two points and three boards for the Hoyas.
