Winston-Salem: What If?

By Matt Meyers - March 15, 2007

You hate to ask yourself that question in a game like this because who knows how things would have developed had Eastern Kentucky come out a little stronger. However, had they been able to do so it could have made things a lot more interesting.

They clearly found a formula for scoring on Carolina, and the fact that Roy Williams left Marcus Ginyard (his best perimeter defender) on the floor for most of the second half in response to Adam Leonard's explosion is the ultimate sign of respect.

Unfortunately for the Colonels, they just dig themselves to deep of a hole. Don't get me wrong, Carolina would still probably have won but it is a shame that they got down 27 points so early. It is still amazing that they were able to cut it to four points though.

Reyshawn Terry just hit consecutive jumpers to make ti 79-58 Carolina with 4:13 left.
