Pan Am Trials: Session Two Winds Down

By David Scott - July 13, 2007

HAVERFORD, Pa. -- Players are going through free-throw shooting drills to end this spirited second session of camp. The highlight of these two hours came at the very end of a full court scrimmage where Kansas's Mario Chalmers threw a pinpoint alley-oop through traffic to high rising Alonzo Gee of Alabama for a bucket at the buzzer.

* Local boy Ahmad Nivins of St. Joseph's (and Jersey City) has shown some flashes with both a nice block on defense and a bit of outside range.

* Washington State's Kyle Weaver had a nice late-session scrimmage hitting back to back shots from long range.

We're going to work some post-session interviews, grab a bit of lunch and then be back with you for the afternoon session which commences at 5 p.m.
